The Sunday service includes music, singing, scriptural readings, prayer, and a sermon. The sermon is read by two readers and is based on a weekly Bible lesson from our Pastor: the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. The Bible Lesson is published in the Christian Science Quarterly and may be studied prior to the Sunday service. If you are new to our church, you are welcome to take a Quarterly home with you after the Church service.
Sunday Services are held at 10:00 AM.
Wednesday meetings are similar to Sunday Services. During the first half of the meeting there are timely readings which the reader has selected specifically for this service. Readings are selected from the Bible and the Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.
The second half of the service is open for individuals to share testimonies of healing and insights or remarks related to their study of Christian Science.
Wednesday Meetings are held at 12 noon on the first and third Wednesdays of the month and there is no evening meeting. All other Wednesday meetings are held at 7:30 PM.
Children and young adults up to the age of 20, are welcome with love and understanding to Sunday School. Sunday School classes are structured to help students discover how to make God and spirituality a practical part of their daily lives. Class lessons are based on the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures and begin with the Lord’s Prayer, the Ten Commandments and the Sermon on the Mount. Students are encouraged to ask questions of their teacher and peers as they uncover how to apply spiritual and moral truths to their own experiences. Sunday School is at the same time as the Church Service, 10:00 AM.
During your attendance, children too young for a Sunday morning service or Wednesday evening meeting are lovingly cared for in our Children’s Room by church members. Our nursery is supplied with a crib as well as toys, games, books, stuffed animals and puzzles.
This is a free service that we provide for those attending our services.

Our church members are students of Christian Science. The First Church of Christ, Scientist was founded by Mary Baker Eddy in 1879 “to commemorate the word and works of our Master [Christ Jesus], which should reinstate primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing” (Church Manual, p.17). Our church in East Rochester is one of many worldwide branch churches. For more information on Christian Science please Click Here.
